Meet Mathijs!
Mathijs Jansen, 23, is our new E-commerce employee. Every day, he is busy optimizing the buying process for customers and integrating trend developments within our company. In this interview you will get to know Mathijs better and learn about his work to optimize your customer experience.
Mathijs has lived in Nieuw-Vennep since he was 2 years old, studied Media Management at ROC Nova College in Haarlem and loves sports and hanging out with friends. Actually, he always wanted to work in construction until he saw this opportunity at Kébol. “The job interview was an introduction for me to see what they had available, while I still had no clear idea of what exactly I wanted to do. Eventually, the idea came up that they were looking for someone to manage the ‘e-commerce’ side of the business. I was immediately convinced that I would be a suitable match, especially with the experience I gained during my studies.” As an e-commerce specialist at Kébol, Mathijs is responsible for setting up, managing, and controlling online media channels and connections. This includes setting up the webshop, managing databases and maintaining customer contacts.
Mathijs: “A typical workday starts with a cup of tea and a nice chat, after which I sit down at my desk to check the webshop and see if any orders have come in. Throughout the day I maintain the website and try to improve the entire process of the website. The very best thing about working at Kébol remains the challenges and changes in the work field and the sociability in the workplace.”
My Kébol – the online portal giving customers 24/7 access to all information
One project Mathijs spends a lot of time on is My Kébol. “My Kébol is an online portal where, as a customer, you can place an order at any time with an account, download pictures and see Kébol’s available stock. Through My Kébol, we try to make the customer experience better. Here the customer is given a lot of freedom and insight into the assortment in order to place an order at their own pace and time.” In this process, Mathijs is responsible for setting up the ordering process and making the stock insightful.
